Wounded Soldiers

Today the other three have caught up to me and are now sick too. For a while today we were four wounded soldiers laying in bed. Apparently we were a little overenthusiastic about Indian food so changes have been made to our diet. Our meals have comically consisted of pb&j and cliff bars all day. The kitchen staff got wind that we are sick so instead of cooking an elaborate meal like normal, tonight we walk in to a loaf of bread, peanut butter and Nutella. Needless to say, it was the perfect meal.

We managed to get out of bed for a little while today to shadow in the morning and attend a Christian wedding this evening. The wedding was done very much like any wedding we see in the US which I didn’t expect. We did get some funny looks though because I’m sure people were wondering what four white girls were doing there. The photographer actually took pictures of each of us while sitting in the pews. I’ve never felt like a movie star before! Although people were taking pictures of us, we got some good pictures of the wedding.

Here is the wedding party. We know none of them. Yes, a little creepy, but it was fun.

The four of us managed to stand up long enough for a picture. Hopefully there will be some more pictures soon of us looking healthier.

Today at Dr. Pio’s office I watched an orthodontist put braces on a few people. This procedure occurs what I would imagine would be very similar to the US. This was exciting to see because I’ve never observed an orthodontist before. It sure did bring back memories of the 2 years when I wore braces though. Dr. Pio did not come in today since the orthodontist was there. She told me that she did not have her own practice so she uses other dentist offices to do her orthodontic work.
